Why do we need better product photos?

If you're still not convinced why you need better product photos - here are five reasons

Presenting your products to the world is one of the vital steps in your business. It is just as important as the steps that precede it. You have selected quality materials and ingredients, you have created a good product. All this is of no use if you don't display it properly. A good product photo can create an impression of higher (even than actual) product quality.

A bad product photo can make a good product look cheap and discourage the consumer from buying. A low-quality product photo shows that you are not paying enough attention to some aspects of the business, and this in the mind of the customer casts doubt on the quality of the product. A good product photo shows the customer that you, as a brand, care about quality and pay attention to every single detail.

What are the benefits of good product photography?

1. A photo of poorer quality, for example with insufficient lighting and contrast, gives the impression of a lower quality product. They may not show the texture of the product or material.

>>> A good quality photo helps show the product in its best light, showing the details, textures, quality of materials and craftsmanship. And these are the characteristics of your product that can justify its higher price.

2. A photo taken with incorrect lighting, white balance setting or poor color editing can change the color of the product and mislead the customer. Also, product colors may appear desaturated or too bright, too bluish or too warm.

>>> A good quality photo reflects the color of the product as accurately as possible, helps the customer in his choice and reduces the risk of returning the product because it was different from the photo.

3. In a bad photo of glass or other reflective products, there are too many reflections that make the product and materials look low quality.

>>> In good product photography, reflections are soft and carefully controlled to emphasize the reflective properties of the materials and the shape of the product or packaging.

4. A bad product photo has an ill-chosen background or props that distract or irritate the customer's eye or take their attention away from the product. For example, the background color may not match the product well, the background pattern may be too colorful, or the photo may have too many elements that overshadow the product.

>>> A photo with well-arranged props, appropriate colors, textures and composition makes the product stand out.

5. An inappropriate product photo may look good on its own, but not reflect the brand's style and help its recognition by the customer.

>>> A good product photo is in line with the style and overall vision of the brand and helps the product to be recognized and associated with the brand.
